West Coast Elite UA: Welcomes Courtney Clements, Donna Huhn, and Jalynn Holmes
West Coast Elite UA announced that additions of Courtney Clements, Donna Huhn, and Jalynn Holmes to our Girls grassroots program. Clements, Huhn, and Holmes join the most rapidly growing girls’ grassroots program in the nation.
Clements starred at Long Beach Millikan High School before attending Arizona State University. She then transferred to San Diego State University where she played in 95 games, averaging 15.7 points and 4.5 rebounds. She was the first player in SDSU history to be awarded MWC player of the year as a junior, was a member of the winningest team in San Diego State history and graduated with a degree in Social Science. After playing in the WNBA and overseas, she founded She’s Empowered Sports. Clements is now the Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Francis Parker High School. Coach Clements will take on the role of National Director.
Clements on joining the West Coast Elite program, “Excited to embark on this journey with WCE. Collaborating with Ryan and the crew will pave the way for young female athletes to reach new heights on and off the court.”
Donna Huhn comes to West Coast Elite with over 20 years of coaching basketball in the High School and club space. Coach Huhn is currently the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Carlsbad High School. Coach Huhn will be the San Diego Girls Director.
Huhn on joining the West Coast Elite program, “I am excited to be joining the West Coast Elite family. The culture and atmosphere Ryan Silver has created will thrive in San Diego and I am so grateful and proud to be a part of it.”
Jalynn Holmes joins West Coast Elite after finishing her playing career at Temple University. Prior to Temple, Holmes stared at Norfolk State averaging 12.6 points per game. She was named Second Team All-MEAC. In High School, Holmes stared at Riverdale Baptist where she led them to two NACA championships. She was also a 2017 McDonalds All-American Nominee. Coach Holmes will take on the role of SoCal Director of Recruiting.
Jalynn Holmes on joining the West Coast Elite Program, “I feel very grateful for the opportunity to impact young female athletes. The WCE girl’s platform is on the rise and not only focuses on skill development but also emphasizes fostering a positive and empowering environment for personal growth.”
Ryan Silver on the additions to the West Coast Elite Girls program, “Today was monumental day for our Women’s program. Excited to add these three amazing female coaches and business executives in leadership positions. Coach Clements is a superstar and is widely respected in Women’s basketball. Coach Donna is a passionate, hardworking coach who is respected and loved. Her passion is incredible. Jalynn is a rising star in Women’s basketball who will help continue to elevate the West Coast Elite Girls program. We are all very excited.”
